Privacy Notice

Last updated: 5 October 2026

You can read SumLogic’s free maths lessons without creating an account. We don’t currently use visitor analytics, advertising tracking or profiling. Here’s what happens to your information when you visit or get in touch.

Who we are

SumLogic is a UK GCSE Maths revision website. Its operator is responsible for your personal information. For enquiries, privacy questions or requests about your information, use our Contact form or email contact@sumlogic.co.uk.

What we collect and why

If you contact us, we use your email address and message to reply and look into your enquiry. The form needs an email address and message; your name and subject are optional. A first name or nickname is fine. You don’t need to send us any of these details to read the lessons.

Form submissions are saved in the website’s enquiry records and sent to our contact inbox. We don’t use enquiries for marketing.

When you visit, our hosting and security services handle technical details such as your IP address, the pages requested, request times and errors. These help deliver the website, prevent misuse and fix problems.

For these uses, we rely on a legal basis called legitimate interests: answering enquiries and keeping the website reliable and secure. We must balance those interests with your privacy and rights. We don’t use enquiries for automated decisions about you.

Who handles your information

We read and respond to the messages you send us. Hosting, email and security providers help us run the website and handle enquiries. We don’t sell your personal information.

Fasthosts provides our hosting and email services. Its standard email service uses providers in Germany. Transfers to the European Economic Area are covered by UK adequacy regulations, which recognise its data-protection standards. You can contact us for more information about these arrangements.

How long we keep it

We delete ordinary enquiry records within six months after the enquiry is closed. We may need to keep relevant information longer for an unresolved complaint or legal matter.

We keep technical records only as long as needed to investigate faults, protect the service or meet legal requirements. Backup copies remain until replaced or removed under the provider’s backup schedule.

Your rights

You have the right to object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests. Contact us to explain your concern.

You can also ask for a copy of your personal information, a correction, deletion or a limit on how we use it. These rights depend on the circumstances. Email contact@sumlogic.co.uk or use our Contact form to make a request; you don’t need special wording.

We may need to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one calendar month. If the law allows extra time, we will explain why and when to expect a response.

You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data-protection regulator.

A note for students

Include only what we need to help. For a mistake report, the lesson title and a description are usually enough. Please leave out your school, home address, medical or financial information and other people’s private details. Ask a trusted adult if you’re unsure what to share.
